Air Travel:
The closest airport to the workshop location is San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This airport is served by all major carriers and many discount airlines as well. The hotel has a free airport shuttle for hotel guests.
Also convenient is the Oakland International Airport (OAK), which often has lower fares on discount airlines and is connected via Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) from the Coliseum/Oakland Airport Station to the workshop location.
Public Transportation & Carpooling:
Guests staying at a local hotel can take BART to the San Francisco Airport station and arrange for a pickup from the hotel shuttle.
Guests taking public transportation can take BART to San Bruno station and transfer to SamTrans bus 140 to YouTube (Cherry Ave and Bayhill Dr. stop). The bus ride is $2 one-way. On Saturday, the first bus departs San Bruno station at 7:50AM and arrives at YouTube at 8AM. The bus runs every hour after that until 5:50PM. Returning to BART from YouTube, guests can board bus 140 across the street from YouTube at the bottom of the hour (e.g. 1:30PM, 2:30PM) until 6:30PM Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, taking the bus from San Bruno station is not recommended as the earliest you could arrive at YouTube would be 10AM. Please consider carpooling on Sunday. For additional information, please visit 511.org, the area’s regional transit website, and view the SamTrans schedule for bus 140.
All other workshop attendees should indicate their interest in carpooling when completing their RegOnline registration form.
